We are currently beta testing a new walk app that will work correctly on iOS 13 and later. The new app will only inclue the walking features as all other functionality will soon be available via our mobile friendly website. Known issues that are still being worked on are listed at the bottom of this page.
Install the app by opening Safari and going to ios.webelect.net. Currently you must click the "Sharing" icon (Rectangle with arrow pointing up) and selecting the "Add to Home Screen" option.
The default name is currently "Walk App" but you can change to "Beta" or anything else that will help you identify this is the beta version of the app. We will soon be implementing a prompt to do this.
Now return to your home screen and open the newly added icon. This will allow you to login using your normal email address and PIN. After clicking into your campaign, check the version number at the bottom of your campaign's main menu page to the right of the webElect logo. It should say "34" or higher. continue to use the app as you would for performing walks noting the issues below:
Current Issues - Updated Feb 25th 2020
- The app only provides the Walk Canvassing & Phone Bank features. All other functions will be handled by our new mobile friendly web login.
- The "Packets" mapping is working. However, we have found that if you have to kill the app, the next time you login the packet mapping may not display properly without logging out and back in again.
- The "Targets" mapping is not working properly and will lock up the app after a couples zooms so should be avoided.
